James (Jim) Edgette Hall, 84, peacefully passed away at his home in Hayden, Idaho, on October 15, 2014, Jim was born on July 21, 1930, in Sacramento County, California to Lillian Gaross Hall and Otis Dawson Hall of Seattle, Washington. Jim enjoyed his life to the fullest. Many of Jim's achievements included being a Cable Car Gripman for San Francisco Muni Railway; Deputy Sheriff for San Mateo County, California; and was a mechanic for 17 years for the City of South San Francisco Corporation Yard, to name a few.

Jim had a tremendous passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles. In addition to his enjoyment for riding motorcycles, he also operated a garage where he fixed and rebuilt motorcycles. One can say he was a "Jack of All Trades".

After retiring in 1985 from the City of South San Francisco, he moved to Idaho and ultimately volunteered with the Wallace Court System. After living 13 years in Osburn, Jim moved to Hayden, Idaho in 1998, where he resided until his departure. During his retirement, Jim enjoyed fishing, camping and gardening. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife Bernice and experienced five cruises to Central America, the Caribbean, Hawaiian Islands, Alaska and Mexico. Additionally, Jim enjoyed wood work, and taught himself how to make furniture, as well as, clocks, fishing pole holders and various other projects.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Bernice; daughters Linda M. Flinn of Reno, Nevada, Lorraine Hall of Blythe, California, Terry Weaver of Clearlake, California, Connie Peacher of Fernley, Nevada; and, 13 grandchildren, which includes, Bernadette Martinez of Cheney, Washington and Tehra Gonzalez of Fernley, Nevada. Bernadette considers herself very fortunate to be raised by her Grandfather Jim and his deceased wife Mary. He also leaves behind two men who he considered to be his sons; Rob Jacobsen of Absarokee, Montana and Donny Weaver of Clearlake, California.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife Mary J. Hall and his son, James E. Hall, Jr., who Jim was proud to say was the Warden of Ironwood State Prison in Blythe, California.

Jim was also a proud member of American Legion, Post #14 in Coeur d'Alene. The family would also like to expend their appreciation to the Kootenai Infusion Center and Hospice of North Idaho who both provided Jim with care and kindness during his illness. There will be no funeral services. Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, has been entrusted with e care of final arrangements.
