| October 18, 2014 9:00 PM

Amanda T. Symons, 35, passed away Oct. 13, 2014, with her family by her side after a long battle with diabetes.

A loving daughter and sister, Amanda was born Jan. 5, 1979, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, the daughter of Treana Shirleen Symons and Richard Lee Symons. She grew up with six siblings: Bonita, Daniel, Desiree, Carissa, Steven, and Shay.

Amanda spent her life in beautiful Coeur d'Alene doing many of the things she loved most ... enjoying the outdoors while camping, spending time with friends and family, watching football, and riding bikes. One of her greatest joys was playing with her dog, Odie.

Amanda was a joy to be around. She was very protective and had a great love for her family. Loving and kind, Amanda had a heart of gold and would do anything to give to others even though her circumstances in life were meek.

Amanda was preceded in death by her grandmother, Shirley Ruth Duval.

Amanda is survived by her mother, Treana Symons; father Richard Symons (Jackie); brothers and sisters Bonita Symons, Daniel Symons, Desiree Rude, Carissa Hohn, Steven Briggs, and Shay Symons; grandparents Dan Edwards, Bonnie Morris, and John Symons; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

A family viewing will be held at 11 a.m. with memorial service following at noon Monday, Oct. 20, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Post Falls, Idaho, on McGuire Road. Graveside dedication immediately following with final reception at the church.
