Marvin Lee Schmidt, 71, passed away peacefully at home with his wife at his side on September 4, 2014.
Marv was born on April 27th, 1943 in Mobridge, South Dakota to Christ and Lentina Schmidt.
After graduating from Coeur d'Alene High School, he managed numerous grocery stores, worked construction, a long haul trucker and worked for the railroad.
Marv will be remembered always by many as somebody who loved life, always willing to help a friend, and always looking forward to making a new one. He loved to tell a good joke, and having barbecues at the park with friends and family. He was passionate at restoring old cars, college football and college basketball and of course the Seattle Seahawks (go Hawks).
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Linda (Jenicek) Schmidt, his son Jeff Schmidt, his daughter Kim Gall, his brothers; Ervin and Gordon Schmidt and his grand children; Amber, Allyssa and Nathan and many nieces and nephews.
In the spring, there will be a Celebration of Life Barbecue at Coeur d'Alene Park.
Our husband, our father and our friend is gone now but in a better place with God but will always be in our hearts and in our thoughts.
