VOTE: And forget party affiliations
I feel disheartened when local elections attract far fewer voters than the national elections. The local elections should have at least the same or even more voters than the national elections.
It is at the local levels where we are directly impacted. Everything from the local school boards to the county commissioner to our state representatives and senators or our districts.
Electing people at the local levels who are dedicated in upholding the Constitution set examples to those in the county and state positions. Nov. 4 is the midterm elections and the election for Idaho governor.
I am urging everyone to not only get out and vote but to forget the R and D behind the names. Forget the name recognition-only votes and do your homework on the candidates. Look what they say as opposed to what they have done and how they have voted in the past. Let’s have a record voter turnout this election.
