Clara May Ferguson Buffington Hewitt, 78

Mom went home to be with her Lord on Oct. 6, 2014, with family by her side.

Clara May was born on May 22, 1936, to Charles and Christine Ferguson in Lewistown, Mont. The family moved shortly thereafter to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Clara married Richard L. Buffington in 1957, and they had seven children. Years later she moved to Wenatchee, Wash., where she met and married Slim Hewitt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Charles and Percy; and son Timothy. Clara is survived by her children: Richard (Debbie) of Hayden, Forest (Joy) of North Carolina, Debbie of Wenatchee, Rex of Athol, Chuck (Tricia) of Athol and Tammy (Chuck) of Wenatchee; siblings Walt, Steve, Jim, John, David and Delores; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A gathering of family and friends will be announced.

The family extends their deepest thanks to Hospice for their care in our time of need. Flowers and donations in Clara May's memory may be sent to Hospice of North Idaho.
