ANGELS: Carry gas cans, smart phones
On Thursday, Oct. 2, I was on my way to church to do some volunteer work and I ran out of gas. I am a 72-year-old widow and I live on a monthly Social Security check. This happened the day before my check was due. I had no money and I didn’t know what to do until two cars behind, Christi was one and Danny was the other, they got out of their cars and pushed my car into a parking place at Walmart. These two young strangers helped me. Danny went and bought some gas to put in my car and Christi stayed with me and showed me pictures of her gorgeous children on her phone.
Danny got back and put some gas in my SUV and asked me to go to the gas station across Highway 41, where he proceeded to fill my tank ($71). I thanked them and offered to pay Danny back when I received my check the next day, but he wouldn’t let me pay him back.
I’m writing not only to thank Christi and Danny, but to let other people know there are angels who help people like me. I’m not the only person who has been helped by two young people; I’m sure it happens daily.
Thank you Christi and Danny. I hope you both will be blessed by someone wonderful helping you when you may need it as I did.
