MATHESON: Writer corrects statement

Republican candidate for county treasurer Steve Matheson has contacted me regarding my opinion published Oct. 1. Matheson declared affirmatively that he has never in any way structured subprime mortgage-backed securities when using derivatives to mitigate capital risk.
