Gary Lee Hays, 64

Gary Lee Hays, 64, of Post Falls, Idaho, died peacefully at the Hospice House of Hummingbird Fields on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014.

Gary was born on Nov. 11, 1949, to Tom and Hazel Hays in Spokane, Wash. He attended schools in north Spokane and graduated from Rogers High School in 1968.

A self-employed architect for many years, Gary's workmanship can be viewed in structures all around the northwest. He spent the last 12 years as a respected custodian for the Post Falls School District.

Gary enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing and attending the auction on Friday nights.

Gary is survived by his wife, Cindy; daughters Sharlyne Hays-Patterson and Joy Grey; stepdaughter Hillory Wichman; and six grandchildren: Andy, Brianna, Kyra, Parker, Elianna and Corbin.

A Celebration of Life and potluck dinner will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, at Real Life Ministries, 1866 N. Cecil Road, Post Falls.
