DINNER: Thank you to all the sponsors

The American Legion Auxiliary Athol Unit No. 149 wishes to thank the following sponsors of our Pay-it-Forward dinner on Sept. 27 for the benefit of the ABC Food Bank.

Thank you to: Northwoods Veterinary Hospital, Merritt Brothers Lumber Company, Lopez Leathers, and Country Clinical Massage, all from Athol; Richard and Barbara Neamy of Hayden Lake, and to Ed and Meredith Robinson of Post Falls, all for their large monetary donations. We only served 27 dinners, but got rave reviews.

Thank you to the community who donated money and food for the food bank and shared dinner with us. As always thank you to the cooks, auxiliary members who donated salads and desserts, and our clean-up crew - Casey.

SANCTUARY: Honoring the memory of Catherine

Life-Time Friends Animal Sanctuary, the safe haven for more than 100 cats, would like to honor the memory and thank Catherine A. Wood of Tacoma, Wash., for gifting us with the incredible amount of $210,000 in her will. Her love for what we do at the sanctuary - saving, nurturing and forever caring for these precious animal children - was evident and we are so eternally grateful for her final gift!
