Lois Amelia 'Mickey' Adams, 91

| October 3, 2014 9:00 PM

Lois Amelia "Mickey" Adams, 91, of Post Falls, Idaho, went to join our father Sept. 30, 2014.

Lois was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to William Gaston Rosencrantz Petersen and Emma Elvera Parrish.

Lois met David L. Adams and they were married Nov. 3, 1943, in the Cardston Temple in Alberta, Canada. They first lived at Farragut Naval Base, then moved to Spirit Lake, Idaho, before finally settling in Post Falls in 1956.

Lois filled her life with children and family. She always spread joy and happiness wherever she went. Her love of sewing kept her busy and was a talent she loved to share with others.

Lois was very involved in the Post Falls community and was president of the PTA, helped start the first city 4-H Club, and was honored as Citizen of the Year in 1983. She made the Post Falls JV basketball uniforms, the drill team uniforms, cheerleader skirts and drum major outfits. You could drive by the house to see what gown or wedding dress was hanging in the picture window at her home. She made many gowns for dances and for the royalty on the Post Falls floats.

An active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lois so enjoyed all the activities with church members. It also meant so much to her to have her calling of historian for many years.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters. She is survived by her nine children: Danny (Evelyn) Adams, Wesley Adams, Georjean (the late Jerry Kuntz) Keentyt, Kathlean (Adams) Garren, Wayne (Letha) Adams, Merriann (Adams) Irish, Randy (Tammy) Adams, Phillip Adams and Becky (Dan) Hart; 31 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren (and still growing), and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be at noon Monday, Oct. 6, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1670 N. McGuire Road, Post Falls. Burial to follow at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens, 7315 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene.

Mom, you will be so terribly missed by all of us, and so many more.

The family would like to give a heart felt thank you for the support of River City Hospice. You may visit Mickey's online memorial at www.belltowerfuneralhome.com.
