DRIVERS: Share road in emergencies

| October 3, 2014 9:00 PM

To rude and inconsiderate drivers of Idaho — specifically the gentleman in the General Motors pickup:

On Thursday, Sept. 25, I was on I-90 racing to the hospital with my flashers on, in massive pain from cutting my thumb off. You (the man in the General Motors truck) literally slowed down to 60 mph in the fast lane, paralleled next to another vehicle in the slow lane to deliberately slow me down.

I would like to think that if you see someone going at a high rate of speed with their flashers on, that you would think this driver is in some type of emergency. I am wondering what you were thinking and why would you purposely slow down next to another vehicle causing me a longer drive to the hospital and causing me to be in more pain. Are you stupid? Ignorant? Or just plain rude?

MAYBE the next time you see a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed you will think twice and get out of the way to allow this person to get to the hospital or to wherever it may be for this emergency.

P.S. I’m the other man in the GMC truck that went around you through the Spokane Street bridge, to get my thumb reattached.
