How do you say 'thanks?'

| November 21, 2014 8:00 PM

Before you could say "Black Friday," winter became spring became summer became fall. Since you and loved ones last huddled over a golden turkey and all the fixins, much has happened in your world; we hope most of it good.

As we do every year about this time, we ask readers to think about what they're most thankful for and, if they're willing, kindly share those thoughts with others. Some among us - one poor woman whose recent letter to the editor started an avalanche of criticism comes to mind - apparently are fixated upon the half of the glass that's empty. We want to hear from those who happily see the other half.

Please write down something you're particularly thankful for this year and email it to Mike Patrick, [email protected]. Include your name and your city of residence. No matter how minor you think your expression of gratitude might be in the grand scheme of things, it could be exactly what any of 50,000 other readers need to give them a lift.

Thankful for a new granddaughter? A clean bill of health? A raise at work? The Zags kicking basketball booty? Pay that blessing forward. We'll publish some of your Thanksgiving blessings in next Wednesday's Opinions.
