Montana athletic director to conduct thorough search

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - Montana athletic director Kent Haslam said he's not going to set a deadline by which he plans to name a new football coach for the Grizzlies.

Haslam told the Missoulian he wants to work quickly, but also be judicious and take the time that is necessary to find the right person, noting that the season is not over and coach Mick Delaney is retiring, not moving on to a new job, so Delaney can continue with recruiting and other efforts until a new coach is named.

Haslam said he wants to find the best person who knows what Griz football means to the community and the state, and who recruit great students and operate an honorable program.
