LETTER: Driving directions offered
In response to Millie’s letter in Sunday’s paper. Millie, I am so sorry that someone from here went down to your “wonderful” California and hog-tied you, and brought you up here to live in this terrible place. Yes, we do seem to have some winds, some snow in the winter. You probably don’t realize this, being a blue-blooded Californian, but you see, Millie, that is what it does here in the winter: SNOW!
As for all the stores, they are no different than in good ole Californy. The difference is that the folks who work in them are more polite and courteous then down south. I know what I am speaking of, as I came from there (not fast enough) many years ago.
I found that the medical facilities were and are some of the best you can find. Of course our illustrious president will give you $2,500 to help you out with your medical, at least that is what he said. Did you get yours yet? I sure didn’t! And the best part is, you will be able to choose the doctor of your choice.
So maybe you will be able to find what you are looking for back home in California. By the way, did you ever hear of the Santa Ana winds? Hmmm. So, here’s a plan. All you have to do is climb into your car, get over to Interstate 90 east, drive until you get to Butte, Mont., and turn right on Interstate 15. Just stay on it til the end, and you are now back home in the land of milk and honey, gang bangers, earthquakes, droughts and the worst gun control in the nation.
So don’t let the “Welcome to Idaho” sign hit you on your backside on your way out. Have a great trip.
