LETTER: Been there, hated that

In response to Millie Hayes’s letter in last Sunday’s Readers Write section. You say your almost house bound in the winter because of the snow. Did you not know what the weather is like here in the winter? We have the stores you mentioned in Coeur d’Alene but you won’t drive in the snow. They are only a short distance from you.

I’m from SoCal. Retired and moved up here in December ‘06 in the middle of snow season. I’m not a fan of snow but I know summer is around the corner and you can’t beat summer in Coeur d’Alene.

I have to admit that California is very pretty and the weather is close to being perfect but I don’t want to live in a Sanctuary State where the governor has invited all the illegals and whoever else wants to come in. People are over taxed; they even voted to pay more taxes and the governor was re-elected by a landslide.

I know I’ll never go back. I couldn’t afford it.
