Evelyn Louise Demchok, 95
Evelyn Louise Demchok, 95, passed away on Nov. 12, 2014, at Life Care Center in Coeur d'Alene.
Evelyn was born in Sturgis, N.D., on Oct. 4, 1919, to John Houstman and Susan Schmidt Houstman. She spent her childhood in South Dakota until her family relocated to Spokane Valley, Wash., in 1937. She graduated from East Valley High School.
In 1938 she married Melvin Goodson in Coeur d'Alene.
Evelyn was a member of the First Christian Church and she enjoyed traveling. She relished the time she spent with her family and friends.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Demchok; son Ronald Goodson; and grandson, John Goodson. She is survived by sons Wally Goodson (Gayle) and Warren Goodson (Susan); daughter-in-law Kathy Goodson; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Evelyn's name to Coeur d'Alene Homes.
A memorial service will be held on at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, at English Funeral Chapel, 1133 N. 4th St., Coeur d'Alene.
