Dean Stephen Foraker, 64

April 10, 1950 -Nov. 9, 2014

On Nov. 9, 2014, our beloved father, brother and uncle, Steve Foraker, of Rathdrum, Idaho, went to be with the Lord. Steve was born April 10, 1950, in Peoria, Ill., to Daunt and Barbara Foraker.

He worked as a resort manager at Twin Lakes for the past 17 years until his retirement in March 2014. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Army in Vietnam in 1967-68. Steve was the biggest St. Louis Cardinal fan this side of the Mississippi River. People that knew him, knew that they could always find him listening to the Cardinal game on his XM Radio.

He loved fishing for catfish on the Snake River and Kickapoo Creek. Steve was passionate about his family, especially his two sons. His sense of humor, warmth and presence drew many to him and he was adored by all. Steve is survived by his two loving sons, Steve and Rich; and his cherished friend, Patty Foraker; three brothers Rick, Larry and Jim; two sisters Diana and Shirley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Steve was preceded in death by his loving wife, Erline.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at The Altar Church, 901 E. Best Ave., Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Interment will be held in Rathdrum. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83835 or to Good Samaritan Rehabilitation, 901 E. Best Ave., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814.
