PHOTO: Yikes! That isn't safe

I love the idea of the collaboration between two churches but as a safety person, I shuddered when I saw the photograph of the pastor and a church member working on the sign on the Sky Prairie United Methodist Church. The good folks are looking to meet our Lord sooner than they probably plan by standing on the pallet instead of using an approved platform and not having any fall protection. This was probably done on “volunteer” time so OSHA probably won’t be after them but they should remember that all safety rules are written in blood and that’s why their actions would never be allowed on any good job site.
