Ivy Court earns national recognition
COEUR d'ALENE - Ivy Court in Coeur d'Alene has received the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living's Silver Achievement in Quality award.
The award is given to centers nationwide for high-quality long-term care. Ivy Court, part of the Extendicare family, is located at 2200 Ironwood Place.
"I am proud that Ivy Court is standing among the ranks of other centers that are delivering quality care," said Mark Parkinson, president and CEO of the American Health Care Association and the National Center for Assisted Living.
"Ivy Court has achieved a significant milestone on its quality journey by successfully applying the rigorous standards of this program," said Ed McMahon, chairman of the association and center's quality award board of overseers.
Gary Liesner, administrator of Ivy Court, said the facility is one of only 77 long-term care centers nationwide to receive the award this year.
"The quality award program is an independently judged, criteria-based award program," Liesner said. "We are very proud of this incredible accomplishment and thank our staff for their strong commitment to excellence."
