ARFEE: RIP, and praise the police

| November 2, 2014 8:00 PM

Let Arfee be at peace ... and let’s be thankful for all law enforcement.

I love dogs too. I have always had dogs in my extended family and they are each special to us. I am sure Arfee’s owner is struggling with hurt, and I understand. However, let’s not destroy all of our great law enforcement in our cities, county and state. Those uniforms in blue, brown and black are a welcome sight when you need to call for their help. I live in Coeur d’Alene and I know when I have a need for them, they will be there for me. Law enforcement is in constant training in all aspects, this I know. They all strive to do all demanded of them. We have had good police chiefs in the past and we should all welcome our new chief. He will also be a good chief. We can let Arfee rest in peace, where, if you believe he has gone on to Heaven as I do, he is romping and playing with all of the dog lovers in heaven.

Enforcing the law has its many challenges and in my belief, they are meeting those challenges. Emergency situations calling for law enforcement often end in very sudden decisions to be made by all. I wasn’t there ... so I simply do not know the circumstances ... so I cannot judge and shouldn’t.
