THEFT: Blow to a local veteran

You should be so proud…

The thieves who stole the ATV from a residence in Coeur d’Alene, of all times, over the Memorial Day weekend. A time when we should be honoring and thanking our soldiers who help protect our citizens, country and freedom. Apparently, your freedom to steal!

You stole from a soldier, a family man, who devoted 25 years of service to the Army and National Guard. A soldier who saw the sights of Saudi, Bosnia and Iraq, and was lucky enough to come back to us in one piece.

A soldier who now is working hard in North Dakota, again, away from his family, to support his family.

You should be so PROUD.

You — the thieves — have no idea what hard work is.

You may try it and see how you feel when someone steals something that you have worked so hard for. If you have any remorse, please return the ATV. At least that may be a small way for you to say, “Sorry, and thank you for your service!”
