FIRE CHIEF: Thanks to the community
I would like to thank the community of Plummer, Benewah County, and the Coeur d’Alene Tribe for allowing me the privilege to serve as your Fire Chief for the last 20 years. The time in this position has been a privilege and an honor while providing emergency services to you and your families. I have not only been able to touch your lives, but you have touched my life in so many ways that I will never forget each and every one of you.
Although I have made the decision to leave the position of Fire Chief, this has been the most difficult and agonizing time of my life. Due to unforeseen reasons I have realized that the direction I envisioned for the Gateway Fire District differs from that of the current Board of Fire Commissioners. I have recognized that key differences in management would hinder my ability to carry out the mission of the current Fire Commissioners. After long hours of prayer and careful consideration, it became clear to me that my resignation would be in the best interest of my family and of the Fire District.
I thank you for all of the support given to my family and I through these great years of my life. God bless you.
