Donald R. "Hoppie" Hopson, 57, passed away peacefully at his home May 18, 2014, in Rathdrum, Idaho.

Hoppie was born August 3, 1957, and attended school in Muskegon, Mich., before relocating to Rathdrum in 1993. To him, no one was a stranger; he was a true friend to everyone he met and always ready to help anyone.

Hoppie truly enjoyed his family, the outdoors, and working on "Little Paradise" in Fernwood with his wife, Edie, preparing for retirement.

Hoppie is survived by his beloved wife, Edie Hopson; son, "BJ" Robinson; daughter, Shere'e Robinson; cherished granddaughters: Tessa, Ashley, Bria and Cassie; siblings: Sally Allen, Liz Denham, Marge Uhrbrock, Sylvia Delodder and John Hopson; loving nephews: Chris, Tim and Mike Allen.
