THOMAS: Praised by an employee

I have given quite a bit of thought to this letter. Pushing aside fear of any possible negative outcome in the future, I have decided YOU NEED TO READ THIS.

If you are a concerned citizen of Kootenai County and think you don’t have any power, YOU ARE WRONG. The future of Kootenai County depends and, frankly, demands your action. Candidates have said a lot of “stuff.” I encourage you to look at their history, their experience and most of all, their character. If you want to know how the current elected officials are doing, ASK A CURRENT KOOTENAI COUNTY EMPLOYEE! We won’t lie to you. We see things on two distinct levels, employee and citizen. We are the ground level or inside view. ASK ME, I DARE YOU!

Don’t vote blindly. Educate yourself.

If you are unfamiliar with the candidates running for Treasurer, rest assured that our current Chief Deputy, Laurie Thomas, has been and will continue to do a stellar job. She is a superb leader. She is always available to both public and staff. Her knowledge is profound and her patience and eagerness to teach is astounding. Laurie Thomas has 13 years worth of on the job experience. Without Laurie, this county would be at a great disadvantage.

Straight talk....In my opinion, Laurie Thomas is the BEST AND ONLY choice for Kootenai County Treasurer. I have had opportunity to work other places for more money and better benefits. Why do I stay? I stay because I get to work alongside Laurie Thomas. Working for and with someone of such great character does not happen every day. I wouldn’t give that up for anything.
