HORTON: Ethical, unbiased judge

I am writing to encourage Kootenai County citizens to re-elect Idaho Supreme Court Justice Joel Horton. I have known Justice Horton for almost 30 years, starting at the University of Idaho Law School. He has demonstrated over his career an intelligence, independence and work ethic that has distinguished him in his career as a prosecuting attorney and as a judge.

Justice Horton is a conservative judge — he follows the Idaho Constitution and laws. He doesn’t look to legislate from the bench. His experience as a magistrate judge, district judge, and years on the Supreme Court make him the most qualified candidate in this election.

Justice Horton was appointed by Governor Batt to be a district judge, and by Governor Otter to the Supreme Court. He has fulfilled their expectations by serving with distinction as a judge for over 20 years.

If you are looking to have on the Supreme Court a conservative, unbiased, hard-working, ethical judge, Justice Horton is your man. I encourage you to continue Justice Horton’s distinguished service to Idahoans for years to come.
