GOEDDE: Focus is on constituents

I support John Goedde for re-election to the Idaho State Senate. Over the past 12 years as a community leader in Coeur d’Alene, I have worked closely with John on many Kootenai County issues.

John has always been a careful listener and a clear communicator. While Superintendent of the Cd’A School District from 2002-2008, I joined John in attempting to bring the best quality of education to Idaho students, while still balancing the State budget. As a Director of the Kroc Center, I always found John to be a quiet, but strong supporter of the Kroc and its programs.

While we don’t agree on every issue, I have respect for John’s ability to seek compromise on even the most contentious issues.

John does his homework and has earned a position of high respect on both sides of the aisle in Boise. As a senior Senator and Chairman of the Senate Education Committee, he is able to provide key leadership and influence on the issues most important to North Idaho.

While concerned about national issues, John has shown the maturity and sense of purpose to focus his time, influence and efforts on issues that he can support for his local constituents in his community.

In a nutshell, I view John as a strong asset for the people of North Idaho, and I hope that you will join me in voting to return John to the Idaho State Senate.
