GOP: More on central committee
Hank Martin writes an excellent letter, and his sentiments are in the right place. It is just unfortunate that he did not take time to check his facts.
Fact One: The books of the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee are open to any of the 70 members of the committee. They just have to come a few minutes before the meeting to check the books.
Fact Two: The five northern counties were against the caucus. It meant renting buildings, and it also cut several classes of voters out of voting. Our central committee was therefore not in favor of the caucus.
As far as the repeal of the 17th Amendment, one has to take time to study why it was originally written as it was, and study the vast issue of state’s rights. One cannot do all that in a letter to the editor.
Thanks so much. Comments welcome [email protected].
