Just for Kids Fishing Derby set for June 14

Young anglers 14 and under are invited to the Just for Kids Fishing Derby on Saturday, June 14.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Falls Park in Post Falls. Awards will be given for fun competitions following the result tabulation at the conclusion of fishing.

Participants should bring their own fishing pole and gear. A limited amount of fishing gear is available for check out.

The fishing pond at Falls Park is dedicated for youth and handicapped individuals and stocked with small game fish by the Idaho Department of Fish and Game.

Children must be accompanied by an adult.

This is a free event, but pre-registration is strongly encouraged and may be made by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at (208) 773-0539 or register in person at the office in City Hall at 408 N. Spokane St.
