Wilma E. Brewer, 94

Wilma E. Brewer passed away on February 9, 2014.

Wilma E. Chenoweth was born in Loveland, Colo., on August 16, 1919. She met Noble Brewer in Loveland Colo., and they were married on February 1, 1937. They moved to Southern California, where they lived until 1958. From there, Wilma and Noble moved to Santiago, Chile, in South America. In 1960, they moved to Tokyo, Japan, where they lived for nine years. While in Japan, Wilma volunteered with the Red Cross where she wrote letters for wounded soldiers. Wilma and Noble then moved to Helsinki, Finland, for seven years, then moved to Canada, and finally retired to Coeur d'Alene in 1976.

While living overseas, Wilma enjoyed all their travels around Europe and Asia. After moving to Coeur d'Alene, she loved to show all of the beautiful things they acquired to their friends - and there was a story for each thing!

Wilma was very active in Eastern Star Queen Ester Chapter, No 12, in Coeur d'Alene. She became a Worthy Matron with Noble beside her as Worthy Patron. She was also active in Daughters of the Nile.

Wilma loved all holidays, and decorated the house for each one. The one holiday she loved the most was Christmas, and the house was indeed a 'Christmas Wonderland.' The star was the Christmas tree, adorned with beautiful ornaments, each one different, all handmade by Wilma.

Wilma is survived by her husband, Noble Brewer, son, Eugene Brewer, and daughter, Louise Helen Kay Darcy; niece, Letha Wheeler; grandchildren: Michael Williams, Dale Williams, Cynthia William Baeli, and Robin Brewer; six great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
