POEM: Tribute to the Lake City

| March 26, 2014 9:00 PM

I am sending you a poem I wrote that was inspired by a visit I made there many years ago. I hope your readers will enjoy it.

COEUR d’ALENE

Mashed the soft potato snow,

That steams the pan of Idaho.

On cedar hold glazed ivory green,

Fair Taj moon-marbled Coeur d’Alene.

In every season of the year

Nature shows its beauty here.

And hearts that care, seem everywhere.

It’s so serene, in Coeur d’Alene.

How blest I’ve been that I have seen,

The lovely lakeside Coeur d’Alene.

A gem among the gems that show,

The pride and joys of Idaho.
