The state and U.S. departments of labor are joining forces with veterans groups and local leaders to sponsor six job fairs for veterans during April and May.

The Kootenai County "Hero2Hired" job fair will be held April 24 from noon to 4 p.m. at the American Legion Hall Post 143, 1138 E. Poleline Ave., Post Falls.

These special job fairs target veterans, active duty military, National Guard and Reserve members and military spouses.

All the fairs are free and are co-sponsored by H2H and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.

Participating employers should come to the fairs with specific job descriptions and applications and be prepared to accept resumes and conduct interviews.
