POST FALLS - The Coeur d'Alene boys doubles teams helped key the Vikings' 8-4 over Post Falls on Thursday afternoon.

The Coeur d'Alene No. 1 doubles team of Kyle Schneider and Ian Lynch, along with the No. 2 team of Cole Williams and Riley Ellingsen, finished with a sweep. One of the biggest wins for the Vikings was when Schneider and Lynch defeating the Trojans' Seth McLeod and Casey Benton.

Post Falls boys singles players Lincoln Hill and Morgan Spraul each beat their opponents, but Viking girls singles players Megan Mitchell, Lauren Carlson and Xiao Luo each won their matches to help Cd'A pull off a sweep.

"Coeur d'Alene's always had a strong girls team and that showed up today," Post Falls Kirk Hartzell coach said. "The big disappointment was boys doubles. Our No. 1 doubles team is a returning state participant and so we expected a little more out of them today. It was 35 degrees and snowy, so our kids played all right. I felt pretty comfortable with how our kids did."

Both teams play Wednesday. Post Falls plays at East Valley, while Coeur d'Alene plays at Moscow.
