| March 21, 2014 12:05 PM

Rosalie Maryanne Seright, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away January 4, 2014.

Rosalie was born July 11, 1930, to Jack and Erma Drew in Park City, Mont., and grew up in northern Wyoming on an irrigation farm. During the depression years, Rosalie attended country schools through the eighth grade. She graduated from high school in Sheridan, Wyo., in 1948 and attended college at Montana State University in Bozeman. Rosalie met her husband, Orval Seright, from Fort Benton, Mont., and they were married September 18, 1949. Rosalie and Orval had two sons, Sandy and Randy.

In the early years of their marriage, Rosalie was busy caring for her family and trying hard to balance the budget on a teacher’s poor wages. After 17 years of living in Stanford, Mont., Rosalie and Orval moved to Miles City, Mont., where Orval worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

Retiring in 2001, Orval and Rosalie moved to Billings, Mont. They enjoyed traveling in the states and overseas, and attended many of Orval’s Army reunions held throughout the United States.

Rosalie moved to Garden Plaza retirement home in Post Falls, Idaho, in June 2010 to be near her son and grandchildren. She had many health issues, but got through them with a positive attitude. Rosalie enjoyed her years at Garden Plaza and being with her many silver haired friends.

Rosalie was active in the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church, and also sold Avon for 27 years. She supported her boys in all school activities, enjoyed playing bridge, and was active in many organizations. Rosalie loved being a homemaker, decorating her home, and growing flowers. She had a good sense of humor and a very positive attitude throughout her life.

Rosalie was preceded in death by Orval, her husband of 58 years. She is survived by her sons: Sandy (Nancy), of Post Falls, and Randy ( Julie), of Socorro, N.M.; grandchildren: Brooke, of Portland, Ore., and Brett and Annalee of Post Falls; her dear sister, Dolly Davey, of Centennial, Colo., and a number of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 28, at Garden Plaza, 545 N. Garden Plaza Court, Post Falls, Idaho. Please sign Rosalie’s registry and view her online memorial at www.englishfuneralchapel.com.
