Saturday, March 8

* A World War II-era samurai sword and some guns were reported stolen from a gun safe in a Coeur d'Alene home.

Monday, March 10

* A Hayden woman reported that someone stole her debit card and $40 from her vehicle, which she had accidentally left unlocked.

Tuesday, March 11

* A burglar reportedly turned up the heat while stealing all of the appliances from a house. A Harrison woman reported that the burglary occurred at a home where she was house-sitting. She said the thief also set the thermostat to 85 degrees.

* A Hayden woman reported the theft of two GPS units from two of her vehicles.

* A Kootenai County resident informed dispatch that the Oregon State Police had located his stolen tractor-trailer on the side of the highway.

Wednesday, March 12

* A Post Falls woman reported that someone broke into her car and stole $2 worth of change.

Thursday, March 13

* An officer informed dispatch that he was about to contact a man in a van by the river.

* An officer informed dispatch that he was trying to find out more information about an "obvious" fight in a camper, adding that the "whole place has been trashed."

* Dispatch informed an officer that the man he pulled over has 37 previous arrests.

Friday, March 14

* In Post Falls, a man reported that someone opened up a Comcast account in his name. He said he learned of the fraud when he was contacted by the company and informed that he had a $450 outstanding balance.

* A Dalton Gardens man reported that someone took five Eisenhower silver dollars from an envelope. The man reported that he purchased the coins on eBay.
