PREP ROUNDUP: Vikings second at Lewiston Invite

LEWISTON - Alex Odenthal (85) and Bryce Volking (86) led Coeur d'Alene to a second-place finish at the Lewiston Invitational, held Monday at the Lewiston Country Club.
Cory Beaver shot an 89 to help Post Falls to a fourth-place finish. Derek Bayley's 81 helped Lakeland to fifth place, and Jake Vetsch's 89 paced Lake City, which wound up sixth. Ryan McNulty shot a 93 for St. Maries, which tied for eighth.
The girls teams played at Bryden Canyon, where the Lakeland Hawks posted a fifth place, best among area teams.
"The conditions were miserable down there," Lakeland coach Mario Maddy said. "For our first time out, we did well, and it was good to get back out playing again."
Sierra Tingey shot a 98 for Lakeland, Emily Dodge carded a 101 for Lake City, Victoria Evans' 112 paced Post Falls and Morgan Manful shot a 11 for St. Maries
"It was a cold, and very windy day, but our teams persevered," Post Falls Nichole Thiel said.
