Thirty new boat slips and two new boat rentals are being added to the Hayden Lake Marina as the 2014 boating season begins. The addition will bring the total boat slips to 180. It began in 1958 at 3830 E. Hayden Lake Road (south side of the lake).

The marina has greatly expanded the past few years with 40 24-foot slips added in 2012. Last year the dock frontage and parking was expanded. The rental boats comprise two each of pontoon, fishing and ski boats.

The Boathouse Restaurant will open around May 1 with an Americana bar and grill theme and open about 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Check www.boathousehayden.com. Phone 772-5057.

With moorage and storage packages, marina hours are about 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. Phone Nels Erickson at 818-6584. Check www.haydenlakemarina.com.
