'Spirit of Survival' featured at NIC

North Idaho College will feature the presentation "Spirit of Survival: A Five Generation Story of Healing Historical Trauma" from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday in the NIC Edminster Student Union Building, Lake Coeur d'Alene Room. There will be an encore presentation the same day at 6 p.m. at the Human Rights Education Institute in Coeur d'Alene.

The presentation will be given by Robbie Paul, Ph.D., a Nez Perce tribal member and director of the Native American recruitment and retention program for the division of health sciences for Washington State University. The event is sponsored by the NIC social and behavioral sciences division, the American Indian studies program, and the anthropology program.

The presentation is free and open to the public.
