Sylvia Jean Klomp Clift, 71

Sylvia Jean Clift passed away on January 6, 2014, in Coeur d'Alene, ID. Sylvia was born on June 20, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., to Helen and Harry (Curly) Klomp. The family later moved west to Liberty Lake, Wash., and in 1960 Sylvia graduated from Otis Orchards High School in the Spokane Valley.

Sylvia is survived by her husband, Bill Clift; son, Darren Clift; brother, John Klomp of Liberty Lake; and sister, Joanne Fletcher of Fairbanks, AK. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Neta Clift; and her brother, Fred Klomp.

A celebration of Sylvia's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, at 501 E. Wallace Ave., Coeur d'Alene, ID; (208) 664-5533. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sylvia's name to the 3C's (Cancer and Community Charities), an organization in which she was actively involved and served as president from 2000-2006, at: P.O.
