Funding proposals sought for 2014

| March 7, 2014 8:00 PM

COEUR d'ALENE - The Idaho Panhandle Resource Advisory Committee is accepting proposals for possible funding for Fiscal Year 2014. The proposal deadline is March 28.

The funds are available through the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act, which was reauthorized by Congress for one year.

Potential project sponsors should contact local Forest Service offices to obtain information that may be needed for a proposal, including a Forest Service contact, and to ensure proper agreements and paperwork are completed that will enable the project sponsor to obtain funding if approved by the RAC. Selected project sponsors may be asked to make a short presentation to the Idaho Panhandle RAC when it meets at 9 a.m. April 4, at Idaho Panhandle National Forest Headquarters at 3815 Schreiber Way, Coeur d'Alene.
