Sept. 2010 Joe Morris retired from his position as CEO of Kootenai Health.

Sept. 2010 Jon Ness became CEO of Kootenai Health.

Feb. 2011 Installed state-of-the-art 3T MRI.

June 2011 Kootenai re-designated as a Magnet facility for nursing excellence (initial designation received in 2006).

July 2011 Family medicine physician residency program announced, with residents anticipated on site in July 2014.

Aug. 2011 Kootenai Health announced its new vision statement: "By 2020, Kootenai Health will be a comprehensive regional medical center delivering superior, patient-focused care and will be recognized among the premier health care organizations in the U.S."

Oct. 2011 Kootenai Health named the No. 1 Best Place to work in Healthcare for large employers by Modern Healthcare magazine.

Oct. 2011 Kootenai Surgery Associates joined Kootenai Health.

Oct. 2011 Total Joint Program begins. The program improves pain management and the patient experience during joint replacement procedures.
