PAC leader won't vote on candidate endorsements

| March 5, 2014 7:56 AM

Balance North Idaho, a political action committee formed in Coeur d’Alene last year, held its first quarter board meeting today and voted to have board president Eden Irgens recuse herself from voting in all election endorsements.

“The purpose of this is to eliminate the perception of a conflict of interest regarding her association with BNI due to her ownership position with Range NW, an organization that participates in campaign marketing activities for candidates,” states a press release.

The PAC’s bylaws call for a seven-member board. There are currently six Balance North Idaho board members: Irgens; Mic Armon, treasurer; Elva G. Allan, secretary; Ryan Brodwater; Thomas J. Cronin; and Clay Larkin.
