Jill White joins Aadvent Community Health

Aadvent Community Health Services announces the addition of Jill White, a board-certified psychiatric/mental health nurse practitioner. White received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Washington State University and Whitworth College in 2000. She then worked as a registered nurse in the field of behavioral health in Kootenai County until 2010. White returned to school to obtain her master's degree in nursing and graduated from Azusa Pacific University in May 2013. She and her family have recently returned to Idaho from California. She lives in Post Falls with her husband, Brian, and their three children, Sam, Ellia and Fiona.

Businesses that serve seniors to host seminar

Professionals Serving Seniors will be conducting "The Continuum of Care," a free seminar to help families make better decisions for their aging loved ones at 1 p.m., March 25 at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library, 702 E. Front Ave. The event is open to the public. The seminar will cover topics affecting the lives of seniors and their families including but not limited to: in-home health, Medicare insurance, assisted living, financial and estate planning, real-estate, end of life care and funeral pre-planning.

Professionals Serving Seniors, formed in 2012, is an association of 12 local businesses and organizations focused on solutions for seniors.

Social Security dinner seminar set

Tips on how 58- to 66-year-olds can maximize their Social Security benefits will be shared during a dinner seminar Tuesday at Wolf Lodge Steakhouse.

Pat Wardian, president and CEO of Wardian Wealth Management, will present information about how that age group can maximize their Social Security benefits while minimizing or possibly avoiding paying taxes on them.

Learn how benefits are calculated, simple ways to increase them, and how married couples can maximize their Social Security by coordinating their benefits.
