Cardinals sweep rare SWAC tripleheader

MOSES LAKE, Wash. - Madison Anthony drove in six runs for the North Idaho College softball team in a rare Scenic West Athletic Conference tripleheader as the Cardinals swept the Western Nevada Wildcats 6-0, 15-1 and 10-5 on Friday afternoon at Larson Playfield.
In the opener, Tori Almos struck out 11 for NIC.
Kylene Hatton hit a 3-run home run and Hayden Fields homered twice in the second game, driving in four runs in the win over Western Nevada (8-15).
Marissa Tarin went 2 for 3 with two RBIs in the third game for NIC (13-9, 9-6 SWAC), which has won six straight games.
The teams conclude their weekend series with a single game today at noon in Moses Lake.
