FAN: Access woes at Thorco Field

| June 29, 2014 9:00 PM

I am a senior citizen who moved to Coeur d’Alene a year ago and enjoy attending high school sporting events and have done so. I have also attended a few Lumbermen Legion games at Thorco Field, and as I have a bad back and bad legs I find it scary and hard to get to the field from the parking lot as I have to walk up or down a sloping, grass covered hill.

I have looked for handicap access, and have also asked if there is one. I could not find one, and the only response I received was a snarky comment directing me to the city.

It is a beautiful field and complex, but without handicap access it is a poor, second-class facility.
