Gloria K. Vonberg, 81

Gloria K. Vonberg, 1932-2014 age 81, passed away June 20, 2014, in Coeur d'Alene. Gloria was born October 22, 1932, in Arp, Texas, to Jack P. and Madeline E. Christopher.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Jack C. Christopher.

She got married in 1962 to William E. Vonberg of Wheatland, Wyo. Sons William E. Vonberg Jr., Snohomish Wash.; Christopher K. Merkley, Coeur d'Alene; and Brent J. Merkley, Mountain View, Calif.

Gloria lived and traveled most of the U.S. She worked as a bank teller for 10 years and in retail at shops in downtown Coeur d'Alene Plaza. Traveled to Bahamas, Hawaii and parts of Europe, Canada and Mexico. She moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1991 and loved it the best of any place. Loved to grow flowers and work in the yard, oil painting and fishing but loved Bill and her sons most of all.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday June 27, 2014, at Coeur d'Alene Memorial Gardens. Yates Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
