BERGDAHL: Shame on President Obama

| June 6, 2014 9:00 PM

Let me be upfront, I despise Obama and his policies. Putting that aside, I know everyone is aware of the military deserter Bergdahl, swapped for five Taliban prisoners.

Think about these other three prisoners:

The Pakistani Dr. Shakil Afridi, who was responsible for helping us capture Osama bin Laden, imprisoned in Pakistan three weeks after helping the U.S.

Meriam Ibrahim, the wife of a U.S. citizen, who gave birth while shackled in a filthy prison in Sudan for refusing to renounce her Christian faith.

Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi, who is in a Mexican prison for accidentally going over the border with registered guns. He suffers from PTSD.

Of all the people for the president to use his powerful office and his magnanimous personality for, he chose to bypass Congress and swap a military deserter for five top Taliban prisoners who the Taliban wanted back.

If that is not enough, how about the speech Bergdahl’s father gave in the Rose Garden standing with the president. He spoke the Pashto language, and his opening words were, “In the name of Allah.” If you don’t believe it, look it up. While he spoke in this Taliban language, the president smiled at him and then hugged him afterward. No one stands next to the president of the U.S. without them knowing exactly what they are going to say.

So back to the original question — is this the president of the U.S., unbelievable?
