Nancy Lee, 62

Nancy Lee, 62, passed away in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, on May 6, 2014.

Nancy was born on March 24, 1952, in Bremerton, Wash., the daughter of naval officer Wayne Lee and Genevie Lee. She graduated from Point Loma High School in San Diego, Calif., and attended one year of college. Nancy lived in Alameda and San Diego, Calif., Oahu, Hawaii, Round Lake, Ill., Seattle, Wash., and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Nancy marked the pinnacle of her career when she worked as executive assistant for a firm of 300 attorneys employed by Microsoft and Bill Gates. She had many stories of working with the top executives of that firm. She held that job for five years. In the Coeur d'Alene area Nancy worked for KMC, Lipinkot Communications and Night Hawk Radiology.

Nancy enjoyed playing tennis and watching professional tennis. She was very active in Alcoholics Anonymous and had many friends. Nancy had a heart for people, and she was one that greeted the person who felt left out at any social gathering. She had a joy for life. Nancy attended First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d'Alene.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Katie. Nancy is survived by her parents, Wayne and Genevie Lee; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Cathy Lee; four grandchildren and their spouses: Mathew (Dina), Dara (Bryan), Brianne (Jon), and Schuyler.

A celebration of Nancy's life was held at Fort Sherman Chapel on May 28 where many gathered to share music, flowers, food and stories. Nancy's family wishes to express their thanks to the many people that gave their support to her over the years, and who prayed for her since her passing. Part of the tragedy of loss is that life goes on for the rest of us.

Nancy's grandparents ran a hotel in the once prosperous town on Verendrye, N.D. She will be laid to rest at a church near this now small and peaceful town of just two people.
