• Idaho Community Foundation to expand staff

The Idaho Community Foundation will receive $230,000 during the next three years from the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust to increase the hours of its fund development and donor relations staff in eastern Idaho and North Idaho.

"It has long been the goal of our board of directors to raise the profile of the Idaho Community Foundation throughout the state, and having regional staff is an excellent way to do so," said ICF President and CEO Bob Hoover. "We are incredibly appreciative to the Murdock Charitable Trust for its three-year support of our efforts."

The M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust, based in Vancouver, Wash., was created by the will of the late Melvin J. (Jack) Murdock, co-founder of Tektronix, Inc., who had business involvements and interests throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The Lewiston Tribune reports that presidents of Boise State University and Idaho State University will receive 5 percent raises starting Sunday. The Lewis-Clark State College president will receive a 3 percent pay increase.

The raises follow performance evaluations conducted in May.

BSU President Bob Kustra's salary will become $371,000, up from his current annual salary of about $353,000.

ISU President Arthur C. Vailas will receive more than $357,000, compared to his now $340,000 annual salary.

Lewis-Clark State College President J. Anthony Fernandez's pay will go from $171,000 to $176,000.

The University of Idaho president was not included because he was just hired in March.
