NONINI: Wife's reply inappropriate

| July 27, 2014 9:00 PM

How crude can it get? Not only the response is crude, but the act of responding by an individual “Without Charter,” as stated by former and late President Dwight D. Eisenhower, a surprise visitor and responder in attendance at the funeral cortege of Winston Churchill, televised to the world as the remains of Sir Winston Churchill were barged up the Thames River to his final resting place.

Circumstances were much different at that moment, of course, than the charade put on by Mrs. Nonini, “WITHOUT CHARTER” yet. What would be the world reaction if Mrs. Obama responded to communications addressed to her husband, as President, or private citizen?

In any society, except possibly death or illness of an individual not able to speak for his or her self, whether in public office or otherwise, such an outburst or whatever it may be called, interloping (to intrude on or meddle in others’ affairs), is unacceptable in this writer’s humble opinion. Enough said.
