WEDDING

Melton-Barnes

India Angelfire Melton and Dyllan Arnesto Barnes were married on June 23, 2014, at Manito Park in Spokane. India, daughter of Buck and Kari Melton (Coeur d'Alene) and Dyllan, son of Jason Barnes (Post Falls) and Grace Camantigue (Scottsdale, Ariz.), said their vows before family and friends in a noon ceremony at the fountain in Duncan Garden.

Escorted by both parents over a path of rose petals, the bride wore a blush-pink, raw-silk, hand-made ball gown. She carried a bouquet of peonies and roses. In honor of her two grandfathers, who had been World War II and Korean War veterans, the bride carried the shell casings from their military funerals in her bouquet.

The bride and groom were attended by Tasha Barnes (Post Falls, sister of the groom), and Keanu Melton (Coeur d'Alene, brother of the bride). Kim Davidson (Coeur d'Alene) provided harp music for the ceremony, which was officiated by the bride's sister, Dr. Amber Dahlin (Cambridge, Mass.) and her brother, Kaz Dahlin (Maple Valley, Wash.).

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a reception at the home of India's parents. Later that evening, the couple departed for their honeymoon in Jamaica. They will make their home in Coeur d'Alene, where they are both employed.
